It’s the time of the year when the weather again begins to beckon riders to the great beyond. The hints of spring are beginning to show with floral blooms, green grass, and budding leaves. This is a wonderful sight for most riders because it means they can start getting their bikes ready for the road. In some areas where we live, riders have already hit the roads, exploring the landscape for new sites and destinations.
Want More Sound
This is a great time to begin pre-ride maintenance for the long months of riding to come. Along with maintenance, riders also like to personalize our rides to make it stand out in the crowds. I like to add and change my bike from the stock parts to personalize my bike as well. One component I’ve wanted for quite some time was some new slip on’s. I don’t have the money for a full stage one, but still want more sound out of my Harley. I think most riders feel the same as the exhaust is one of the first items to be changed out on most bikes.
Getting The Slip-ons
Last Friday, when I got home from work, Margaret said we needed to head to our local Harley Dealership. I had no idea why but was pleasantly surprised to find she had bought a set of Vance & Hines Dresser Twin Slash Round Slip On’s for my bike! She said I needed them for our upcoming trip. Who am I to argue? I didn’t and went home happy and ready to perform an install.
This video shows how to install Vance & Hines Dresser Twin Slash Round Slip-Ons on a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. This process will be the same as most slip-Ons for Harley Davidson Touring models. Be sure to reference torque specs provided by the Slip-On manufacturer.
